The Polenta Bar in Chicago’s West Loop is a new, fast and casual way to experience the delectable flavors of Northern Italy. We feature both modern and traditional polenta dishes, and while the food may be served up quickly, the preparation of our organic ingredients and the history of the dish are anything but.
It all starts with polenta – a dish of organic ground corn cooked simply with boiling water, salt and the highest quality extra virgin olive oil. Then, the polenta is topped with your choice of meat, seafood or chicken. Finally, the dish is finished off with fresh vegetables, which vary from season to season to ensure only the best quality.
Originally developed in the Lombardia region of northern Italy 500 years ago, polenta has become an Italian institution. The Polenta Bar is the first of its kind to bring the full experience and traditional preparation of polenta to the United States. Our offerings are prepared by a Northern Italian Chef and served by staff educated in the culinary practice.
